Faux Metal Christmas Card

Today's card was given to me in a card swap a couple months ago at Terri's Stamping Technique Class.  I was very fortunate to be given a stack of the cards that the gals swapped.  This card was made by Mary.  This card is just TOO pretty!  I have a few cards using this technique in my "to be posted" stash.  I save them for days when I don't have a lot of time to make a card and post it.  It's my "emergency" stash.  It's kind of like the emergency underwear or emergency bras you have in the drawer.  Though those are for when you are desperate.  I never feel that kind of "desperate" when I'm posting these but it reminded me of those times when you just have to have something now but don't want to do the work to get it.  And there are times that I make several cards in one day so I'm ready for the next few days.  I guess that would be similar to doing the laundry, huh???  LOL

This card was done using the Faux Metal Technique.  There are a couple of different Faux Metal techniques out there.  The other one is done using embossing powder and heating up many layers of it. I much prefer this one, it's less messy and a whole lot quicker!

I do not know the name of the stamp set used here nor the flocked "paper."  It's a window sheet with the flocking on it.  It is very stunning.  I don't remember seeing it in the mini catalog and that's ok.  I don't need to venture into anymore specialty papers right now!!  I have enough stuff to keep me busy for a very long time!!!  Or until the next mini catalog comes out!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
