A Four Seasons Thanksgiving

I got this set a while back and put it on the shelf.  As usual I forgot about it.  While looking for a card the other day I ran across this set and thought I should play with it. It's a hostess set so that means it's shelf life is limited in the "Current Stamp Sets" column.

I don't make many Thanksgiving cards and I probably bought this set for the Christmas/Winter image.  The little bird with the stocking hat on is SO cute and of course the snowflakes (which we all know I LOVE!).

Anyway, I thought I would play with the set and make a fall card.  It ended up being a Thanksgiving card.

I made my own multicolored pad by adding a few drops of inkers to a baby wipe.  Just place a baby wipe on a safe surface.  Add the colors of inks you like.  Here I used Old Olive, Cajun Craze, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie.  I added them to the baby wipe in long lines.  Then I just used it as a stamp pad and stamped my image.

The leaf background was done using the coordinating leaf image and the ink pads in the colors listed above.

It was a very quick and easy card to make too!  I like the baby wipe technique, it's such a fun way to make those multicolored ink pads, isn't it?

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
