Gently Falling Thanksgiving Card

I LOVE November and I LOVE making cards like this.  And these couldn't have come at a better time.  I'm still sending out my card a week to friends to let them know I am thinking of them and these cards are perfect for me to send!!!

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I LOVE sponging and I have to say it's probably one of my most favorite techniques to do.  Sponging on the edges is fine but sponging in the color/colors is the best!  And it's very effective too.  Sponging in these leaves makes them look almost real.  This leaf has to be my favorite from the Gently Falling set.  I use it all the time!! Though there is a love/hate relationship with this image.  I'm not a big fan of cutting it out but once I am done I am back to loving the leaf again!!! LOL

The Give Thanks is from the Hand-Penned Holidays set.  I have used it a couple of times and think it's such a lovely font.

I don't remember what the background embossing folder is called but I love the way it goes with the stripes in the decorative paper.  It takes away from the flat look of a simple white background.  I LOVE it that I can still use the white but it's a bit more dressed up now!  Such fun and a nice technique!

This is a great card for a swap or a stamp a stack because it really doesn't take that long to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
