Field Flowers Birthday Cards

Field Flowers has to be one of my most favorite flower stamps.  I needed to make two birthday cards.  Hubby's twin sisters had a birthday this month!  Making cards for them is easy because I just make two at the same time.  All the supplies are sitting out, that makes the card making quick.  My sister's have different birthdays so I usually make them different cards.  We even buy his sister's the same gifts too!

These cards were fun to make.  I LOVE two step stamping.  I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig for these cards.  I wanted to get the outline image on exactly where it is suppose to be.  I didn't want to just guess, though sometimes that makes a very pretty and different card too!

I saw this image used on SplitCoastStampers and the colors the gal used were Riding Hood Red and Calypso Coral.  I didn't think the two would go together very well until I saw it for myself.  The Riding Hood Red was used as the outline part of the flower which made the coral color glow a little!

The base of this card is white with a layer of Calypso Coral on top of that.  Then the stamped white panel was added on top of that.

The stem of the flower was done in Always Artichoke.  A green I thought would be too dark.  I usually head for the Garden Green or Wild Wasabi.  I do like how the artichoke looks with these colors.

These cards were not only fun to make but easy too!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
