Simply Soft Get Well Card

The "Simply Soft" is another pretty flower set that I bought and have not used much.  I don't know why, it's SO pretty.  Perhaps it's that at the time I bought these I was SO into flowers that I had to have them all.  It was a very long winter here in Minnesota and it seemed like summer was not going to happen.  And then it did and now I long for winter!!! LOL

The base of my card is Marina Mist.  I just LOVE that color.

I colored in the flower image using markers.  I wanted the leaves green and the flowers a different color so the only way to achieve that is to use markers.  And I did use Marina Mist ink on the bolder part of the flowers that you stamp on second.

The words are from my computer and I just punched them out to fit the 1-1/4" punch.  I added the scallop and I set it in place with Dimensionals.

I died some white satin ribbon with Marina Mist ink.  Doing that takes a while to dry so it's best to do that part of the card first so when you are ready it may be dry. Mine was not so I used my iron and heat set in the color and dried it at the same time!

I sponged the edges on all of the white layers.  This was a very fun, quick and simple card to make.  I have a friend that is having surgery tomorrow and this is the card I'm going to send her.

I really like this set and I want to use it a few more times before everything stamping turns over to fall and Halloween.  I'm holding off making those things for a little while longer.  I still have flower stamps to play with first!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
