Elegant Lines Sympathy Card

This is the card I made for our DIVA Day swap.  I was not able to attend it this month.  I was teaching at the bead shop!  When DIVA Day was scheduled I had forgotten to write my teaching days in my day planner and I took a big chance that it would be open for DIVA Day.  But alas it wasn't. I did want to participate in the swap so I made this card.  Our these was either a masculine card or a sympathy card.  Both of which I rarely have any extra on hand.

The words on here are from the "Thoughts & Prayers" set. I punched them out with the large oval punch and sponged the edges in So Saffron.  The "Elegant Lines" embossing folder was used on the background.  I cut that piece just 1/8" less than the base of the card.  I tied a ribbon around it and then taped it in place.  I used the "Beautiful Wings" embosslit for the butterflies.  I sponged the edges of them using So Saffron.  I added a few of the Basic Pearls Jewels on the butterflies.

It's a very simple card to make and yet a very elegant one.  Kind of a somber look to it.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
