Vintage Vogue Birthday Card

I have totally forgotten about this "Vintage Vogue" stamp set.  For a while there it was all I could use. And it's not that I used it to death, I guess I just thought I'd better give it a rest for a while.  But it was for a LONG while.  As I was blog surfing I ran across a card that I just fell in love with.  It was made by Monika at M.A.D. Stamper.  It was such an attractive card and I kept referring back to it and just had to make it or I'd not stop looking at it or thinking about it!!! Gotta LOVE that obsessive behavior!!! LOL

I did change it a little but not too much.  Her card was square.  And it's not that I can't do a square card, I have mastered them now!  It's just that they cost more to mail, oh and I don't have any square envelopes either, nor do I intend to purchase any!

I changed the background.  I used the "En Francais" background image.  I embossed it with clear embossing powder and I sponged the edges.  The next change I made was the wording.  I didn't have the wording that were used on the original card and I think even if I had I would have changed them anyway since I did need a birthday card.  I didn't use the piercing tool around the circle, I added the tiny pearls.  My ribbon is a little different and I used the Polka Dot embossing folder on the Melon Mambo strip.

I just think it's a pretty card, which every way you make it.  It's got such a rich look to it.  I kind of want to keep it myself and not use it!!!  I suppose I could always make another one! Don't you think it's pretty? I think you can still click on the photo to get a closer view.  Blogger did some upgrading and I have not checked out that old feature.  I hope they didn't take that one away!  The upgrade is wonderful.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
