Friends 24-7 SplitCoastStamper's Sketch Challenge

The Sketch Challenge this week has to be one of my favorite layouts. It had some nice layers and a focal piece with ample space to play! I was going to flip the sketch a quarter turn and use the "Upsy Daisy" set but as I was looking though the catalog to see what sets I had that would fit in this space I also ran across the "Friends 24-7" set. I hve not used that set much and thought I should play with it. I actually like how it turned out too! There is no bling on my card, no buttons or bows. This is just a layered but simple. The most difficult part of the card is cutting the bird out. And cutting is really no big deal unless you are making a lot of them!!! Fortunately for me I was just making one. Though it wasn't that bad to cut out and I could see myself making more!

My colors here are as follows:
Basic Black card stock, Whisper White card stock and the Certainly Celery DP is from the "Subtles" pack. I LOVE that pack. It's such a great value too. You get 40 sheets of double sided decorative paper. The designs are soft too so they blend well with your colors. I used the stripes and on the back side was the design in my big background piece. It was just soft enough and pretty enough to work with this layout.

I didn't specify what occasion this is for. I'm just going to leave it as it is. Though it can be used for several occasions. A birthday card, a friendship card, a thinking of you card, a get well card and even a sympathy card.

If you have time play with this layout. And be sure to check it out at SplitCoastStampers to see what other's have done with it. I LOVE looking at what others have done with it. It's SO cool to see these similar layouts done in different ways.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
