Fifth Avenue Flop

What is that big pink blob in the middle of that panel?? Why it's a Fifth Avenue flower stamped using white embossing powder. After it was heated I sponged in the Melon Mambo ink and the flower emerged.

I started out using the "En Francais" set. I used the Melon Mambo ink and stamped off once to get a lighter image.

Then I stamped the image using VersaMark and sprinkled on the white embossing powder. I heat set it and then sponged on the Melon Mambo ink. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

The far background is done using the Dotted Swiss embossing folder. I like that part of the card and I like the words. I used the "Well Scripted" set there. I'm not overly fond of this card and will be making a different Mother's Day card. This one I just can't mail out. Not all of them can be winners!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

  1. I think that your card is quite, beautiful, actually! But, I'm a perfectionist with my creations, too, so I understand!!

  2. I like it! Soft and pretty, but I know how it is when it just doesn't turn out the way you expected it to. ~chris

Thanks for sharing your "boo-boo" with us! Your sarcasm made me laugh so hard!!!!! We all feel that way about our creations sometimes and it's good you can have a sense of humour even if it isn't "perfect".
