Time For Some Blog Candy!!!

I was thinking it was time for some Blog Candy. It had been a while since I posted any. I know I still had to do the 700,000+ hits one yet and I was going to do that today but as I was looking through my Blog Candy box I noticed that the Blog Candy I had posted in March went unclaimed. SO I will need to do a "redo" on that candy before I move on to the 700,000+ hits one. And I'm sure it won't be long after that I'll be doing one for 700,000+ hits!!! You can find out more about this set of rubber stamps by clicking on the link above. This is a very fun flowery set

And again you know nothing is ever free. To be entered in the random drawing you need to leave a comment on this post only. And what is the theme of the comment???? Well, with spring almost over and summer just around the corner I think something about the seasons would be good!!! SO here's your question!!! Are you a spring or summer person?

As for me, I'm a spring person. Actually I'm a winter person but since the choices are spring or summer I have to pick spring. I don't do summer well at all. I do tan well but right now I'm so white I think I would catch fire if I went out in the sun!!! LOL I don't like to be hot and once the temps rise enough that I can't cool off the air conditioner comes on and it will run until the summer is over. Once in a great while it will get shut down because of a cool front but it's rare. I need to move to Canada for my summers, way up north in Canada!!! I would love it.

Leave your comment here by midnight Wednesday May 27th. I will go to the Random Number Generator website and enter in how may comments are left here and have it pick a winner. Only one comment per person please. If you accidentally hit enter twice I do moderate my comments and I can delete the extra one for you. You do need to check back on Thursday evening to see if you are the lucky winner!!

Oh and in that Blog Candy box were other items too. I find little stamping and scrapbooking things and add them to the Blog Candy as the "game" is going on!! And I'm sure I'll be adding more things to until Wednesday!!

Good luck to you!!
Wanda

I am a very Spring person. I do not like heat very much. I look so forward to seeing each of your techniques and am getting ready to order your second CD. You are so awesome for sharing so much info with us.

  2. Hey Wanda, I'm with you with the heat being too much! However, some summers up here in Calgary can be real sweltering with unremitting heat...those ones are hard to take, as most of us don't have indoor a/c. At our house we rely on fans and sleeping at night is a challenge. I didn't know Minn. got so hot in the summer, but then again, I don't know too much about my geography!

Thanks for your great ideas and blog!

  3. Definitely a spring person but prefer the mid to late spring. Hate the heat and humidity of summer. If it weren`t for AC, hubby and I would be divorced by now! lol

I love spring, the flowers, everything blooming, I feel with more energy! But comparing to winter, I'm more a sunny person so I'm fine with summer too!!!

  6. I too prefer spring over summer! Spring is just too short for me, and the heat comes too fast. I would prefer to have my windows open and the fresh air carrying the scent of lilacs into my house daily if I could!

  7. I'm a summer.... love the sun, the warmth, the green, the flowers, the ice cream, the long lazy days and the casual evenings.

I live in Calgary AB Canada and it's just not quite warm enough here for most of the summer... the nights cool off quite a bit which makes sleeping easier, but sucks for parties and sitting out on the deck. But at least we get a few hot and sweltering days.

I was born and raised in Regina SK where it's nothing for the temperature to hit 30C (about 86F) for most of the summer...and then spent 6 years in Toronto where the humidity adds to the heat and makes it unenjoyable for me.

I guess I like a dry heat LOL!

  8. I love the spring when everything is in bloom, but here in Oregon we tend to have tons of rain, so I guess Summer is my favorite as we usually have sunny days and we only have about 2 weeks of really hot weather normally. Thanks for the chance to win some super stamps.

  9. I'm always amazed to find people who like cold weather because I absolutely DREAD it. I'm definitely a summer person. Bring on everything summer! Hey, thanks for the chance to win, your blog is great!

  13. I love spring and don't do summer well either... nor winter.. so the in between seasons are the best!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I love both seasons but if I have to pick I'd go with spring! By the time winter rolls through I am so ready for green grass, flowers, and warmer temperatures. And what better way to celebrate spring but a new flower stamp set. Have a wonderful day!

  15. I am a spring person. I love to see all the plants and flowers beginning to bud. The weather is usually delightful and it not too hot to spend time out of doors. I live in SC. When summer hits, NO ONE comes outside for a long period of time!

  16. I love the creativity of your site. Spring reminds me of rebirth.

  17. I'm definitely a Spring person, so much that if the seasons were to go from Spring to Autumn minus the Summer, I would be ecstatic! I DETEST summer! I can never cool off, the electric bill for the a/c is astronomical, and the bugs run rampant. (I think I'm mosquito dessert.) I love Spring when I can have the windows open and the flowers are blooming and the ACK!! A SPIDER! (Okay, so much for the bug thing.)
Anyway, I would love love love to get my inky little fingers on the stamp set you're offering as blog candy. I tried my first clear stamps just recently (yes, I am a former wood mounted rubber snob), and now I can't get enough of the clear! I'm not giving up on my SU! stamps -- just broadening my horizons! :)

I absolutely love spring, when everything comes back to life, after winter. The flowers are so welcome, and all the spring colors seem so vibrant!

  19. I too am very much a Spring person! Where I live in Texas, it gets very, very hot! We have already had temperatures over 100! Give me Spring & the new birth of plants & flowers, baby birds anyday over the heat of summer!

  21. Hi Wanda!
Congratulations on a very successful blog!
I love it when you post a new technique...that versa glaze was great!
I am a Spring person...I am allergic to cold! I used to be a Summer person, until I lived in Dallas for a few years. Christmas shopping in a T-shirt was fun, but staying indoors to avoid the heat of Aug & Sept got old fast :)

  22. Oh I just love your blog candy giveaways! I see the post and wonder what you will be asking! LOL! I'm a summer gal, as I like the heat. I dread winter with the cold, I get cold so easy. Spring would be my second favorite season, as the excitement of winter being over arrives and the flowers start showing themselves. :D

  23. I would have to say I am definitely a Spring person. I love all the new flowers popping up. It's warm enough at night to sit outside and smell the honeysuckle without the bother of mosquitos.

I am so happy for you and your blog's success. It's easy to see why you have so many hits.

  25. I am SOOOO a summer person; the hotter the better! I love riding my bike, tinkering in the yard, sitting outside to read a book and eat a giant piece of watermelon. What could be better?

  26. I guess I'm a spring AND summer person. DO NOT like winter. Of course, living in south Texas, we don't have much of a winter.

  30. I am a Spring person--love the flowers blooming, the smell of the lilacs right outside my window (they permeate every room in the house!!), the grass and leaves getting green, and planting in my garden! Heat and humidity are my enemies, as is cold. Thanks for a chance to win blog candy from your awesome blog!! Read it daily and love your technique pages!!

  33. I also am a spring person. I hate when it gets VERY hot out !! We just took our pool down, so I am not sure what I am going to do to cool off. The hub is putting up a garage instead of a new pool,,,he wins that battle !!! I got a scrapbooking addition last summer so I guess it is his turn. Keep cool everyone !!!

  34. I'm definitely more spring than summer. In fact, I'd say i'm EARLY SPRING. Especially this year. We've already hit triple-digits in temperature. I'm not looking forward to a steaming hot summer this year.

I love the spring, but summer's nice too! If it gets too hot, we always know it will be cooler in a few days! In Minnesota we say, "Wait a few moments, it will change!" I guess I love the season I'm in! Thanks for your wonderful creative sharing! Jan

  36. Wanda, I love summer but spring is awesome. I love to see God's creation burst forth in color and smells after the gray of winter. I also look forward to the sounds of the birds singing in the trees and being able to open the windows for a few hours.

  40. Well, you didn't have fall or winter as choices so I guess it will have to be spring. The reason, you may be wondering... Well, I hate bugs. Spring is definitely better because the bugs haven't come out yet. It just showed here about a week ago so even if they were thinking about coming out I am sure they thought "what the heck" and went back into hiding. I hate the spiders and beetles that sneek up on you. Yuck!

Living in Arizona, I would have to say spring. It is just not long enough for me. Summer seems to go on forever here. I am already wishing for November.

I enjoy reading your blog and getting new ideas. Thanks

  42. Hi Wanda,

I live in the Far East of Canada, St. John's, Newfoundland, and today it is snowing, so think twice before you move here for our "summers" :)

I really love Spring and Fall, something about the transition appeals to me. I love the lush green of Spring, the soft rain, the sweet scent of new flowers, seeing all the birds return, etc, etc...

    Hi, Wanda
SUMMER!!!!!! I hate winter in Minnesota, and I'm always dismayed when you want snow and cold. When it is snowing (and especially if its snowman snow) I want to call you up and blame you for the snow, because you wished for it. But, now it is my turn and you can call me and blame me for the heat. I love it!

Good Morning Wanda.....You would think most people would claim to be Spring people.....and I confess I do love spring. But I had to give thought to the fact that I live in Arizona, on purpose. And what is the thing about Az that most people don't like? It's the summers! Well, I have always said that it's the 9 months of the year here that are perfect that I love, but I really do love summers too! There is so much to do, swimming, water skiing, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, just to name a few! It's not all miserable heat! While we do go from AC to AC, we also enjoy spending time in the pool, waterparks, lakes, and tubing down the rivers! By the way, I think my white legs would beat yours any day!!! I don't tan, just burn and peel! LOL
Thanks for all you share! Love it all!
