Here Comes the Bride!

With summer coming it not only brings with it the warmer weather and family picnics but weddings too! I'm not ready for that. I need to get some cards put back in my stash for these events. I don't really like whipping a card up at the last minute. I like to take a little time when I'm making cards!! I REALLY don't want them to look like they were whipped up at the last minute!

SO here's one I whipped up!!! LOL Ok, now there is a difference (a BIG difference) between a quick card and whipping up a card!!! And this card was pretty quick to make. The part that took the longest I would have to say was the embossing. And that really didn't take all that long but in the scheme of things it was the part of the card that took the most time.

I did stamp the image on copier paper and then I cut out the dress area. I was able to emboss in that area only using that copier paper piece as my mask. If you click on the picture you'll be able to see the embossing better. I had to do the white on white because it was a wedding dress and in person you can see it and it does look VERY pretty if I must say so myself. It gives the wedding dress the appearance of being lacy.

The bow was fun, I just tied a loose knot in the ribbon and taped it to the back of the panel. SO simple and pretty! I sponged the edges to help keep the focus on the image.

I colored the people in using a blender pen. I did stamp the image with Staz-On. I didn't use a lot of colors because I wanted the image to have an elegant look to it.

This is a fun, quick and simple wedding card.

This card was made entirely of Stampin' Up! products. To view more cards/items made entirely of Stampin' Up! products click here.
