Faux Prima Tutorial

A while back I made a card with some "faux" Prima flowers on it. I mentioned that I would try to get a close-up of the flowers. Click here to see the card in question.
Using the flower punch in the "Three For You" punch kit, punch out the colors of card stock of your choice. Cup your hand slightly and place one in the center of your palm. Take the rounded end of your gel pen and press down on the flower. Go around in a circular motion about three times. In the photo you can see how the flowers start to curl up. You can leave it as it is or you can snip the petals, either way it will look great. This punch kit can save you a lot of money in little Prima flowers. I highly recommend this kit. I can't ever imagine flowers never being on cards!!! Plus I think these flowers would be great on a pillar candle too. I'll have to try that one sometime. Using common pins for the centers or even the colored head pins. Small brads would work too. Lots of things you can do with these.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday weekend,
Wanda
