Something A Little Different

Here I made a thank you card using the new "See You Around" jumbo wheel by Stampin' Up! I am really liking this wheel. It gives a really nice background to my cards. Plus it was quick to do! Am just loving quick cards lately! I used the "Sassy Stems" for the flower. I stamped it using Black Staz-on and colored in the flower with Regal Rose and a blender pen. Then I took the marker and added a little more color to the edges. I used Sage Shadow for the stems and leaf and Yoyo Yellow for the center of the flower. I cut the card about 1 1/2" from the top and used the Coluzzle to make the oval to show more of the flower. I added some white grosgrain ribbon to that upper edge, after I sponged it with Regal Rose. Then I made a little bow and glued it in place. The "Thank You" came from the "Happy Birthday" set. I wanted to have something bright and white there to draw attention to that corner. I needed something and that something had to be white. I was thinking about stamping the words in white on Regal Rose card stock and then affixing it to a white oval but I like the white on white with the sponging much better. Again, it was a pretty quick card to make!

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget the Blog Candy!

  4. This is a cute card...I was just wondering, I noticed that you stamp in Black Stazon on your cards...does it work better than the regular classic black ink...I never would of thought to use Stazon on my cards.
