It's a Girl!

I need a baby card but I haven't been told if it's a girl or a boy yet. In fact I haven't been told my friend's daughter-in-law has had her baby yet. So guess what color card I'll be making tomorrow??? LOL

This is a CASE from a card that blondie090277 on Splitcoast made. I made a few changes but for the most part it's pretty close to hers. It was a fun card to make. I think the worst thing about making cards is cutting the card stock. Once that is done making cards is a lot of fun!

Okay, the recipe here:
I used Pretty in Pink for the main card. I cut the sheet of card stock in half and folded them in half (I made two of this design card). I opened the card back up and cut the piece from 8 1/2" long to 7". Be sure to fold your card first before you cut it, it will mess up your card if you don't. Unless you are REALLY good at knowing where to fold the card once you cut it. It can be done, just not as easy. When you open this card all you see on the inside is the Regal Rose inside layer with the ovals taped to it. The giraffe piece is taped to the front of the card and lifts up with the front of the card. It shows up better in blondie090227's picture. I photographed mine flat. I wheeled on the rattles with Pretty in Pink ink. I sponged Pretty in Pink ink on everything! The words came from that same set. The stamp in that set reads "Introducing our Little Bundle of Joy." I just inked up the "Bundle of Joy" part and punched it out with the small oval punch. I used the bigger oval punch for the layer. And yes, I sponged that too!!! I stamped the giraffe on Whisper White card stock with Black Staz-on. I always use Staz-on when I use a blender pen. I used Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose markers and the blender pen to color in the giraffe. I used the writing point of the Regal Rose marker to go around the outer lines of the giraffe. I took the Certainly Celery marker and went around the outside of the giraffe. The green softened the pink down a bit. I was going to use Bashful Blue but it didn't have as much of a subtle effect as the Celery did. I punched the corners, added some pink grosgrain ribbon and taped it all together. I was thrilled that I finally got to use the baby rattle wheel! I have SO many wheels and I need to start using them more!

Thank you for checking in!
