Close as a Memory Sympathy Card

Here is another Sympathy card I made using the Stampin' Up! set "Close as a Memory." For this card I used the "Lace" background stamp with Ruby Red ink. I find with some of the card stock the background show up better if you use the same color ink as the paper instead of using VersaMark. I used markers and gave the stamp a spritz of water before I stamped it. I also did the background of the flowers with the "Linen" background stamp. I used Going Grey and I stamped off once. I sponged around the edges and then added a couple of corners to give it a little better look. For the word part I cut the card stock, stamped on it and then put the ends through the circle punch from the backside. I used the 1 1/4" circle punch for the white card stock and the 1 3/8" circle punch for the black card stock. Square just didn't seem to look right with this, it needed something more round to go with the lettering. I added 3 large brads. The small ones were just too tiny and seemed to look like mistakes on the card. I sponged the Ruby Red and white pieces. It was a pretty easy card to make.

Thank you for checking in!
