Frightfully Fun, Oh My Fright, Frightfully Fun Times, Halloween Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today's card has absolutely no stamping on it. It's rare but kind of fun to not have stamping. Nothing much to clean up either! Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Black card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside of the card.

On the front I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Frightfully Fun" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the front of the card.

I die cut the tree and bats from the "Oh My Fright" bundle using Basic Black card stock that I had added a double-sided sticky sheet to (before cutting). I set them aside.

When looking at the dies in the "Oh My Fright" bundle I noticed the cloud dies. Why didn't I see them before? I guess I was just looking at the bats and tree, not giving the other dies a second look.  I cut out one of each and set them aside.

The moon and words are from the "Frightfully Fun Times" sticker package. I set the moon in place. I trimmed the small cloud to fit around the moon's shape. Then I added the other moon. I used glue to set them in place.

The tree was set in place next and then the bats. I took my Cherry Cobbler marker and gave the bats deep red eyes.

The "spooky" is from the sticker set. I added Dimensionals to the back and then took some baby powder on a brush and covered the exposed sticky on the piece. I removed the backing on the Dimensionals and set the piece in place at the base of the trunk. I opted to put it there because the tree looked like it was just floating in air and looked so out of place. It still looks like it's floating but not as much, it's not so noticeable but it is now because I pointed it out to you.

This was a fun card to make and it was so uncommon for me to make one without using any ink.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Halloween card,
Wanda

  1. Fun card! Occasionally, I enjoy not having to stamp a sentiment for my card fronts, too.
