The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and cut a circle from it using the second largest die in the "Stylish Shapes" set.
Then I cut a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the (retired) "Corrugated" embossing folder. I added glue around the back of the circle and set the corrugated piece in place.
Next I die cut the leaves. The long Basic White one is from the "Petals of Beauty" bundle and the shorter Basic Beige one is from the "Friendly Foliage" bundle. I added little dots of glue to the largest parts on the stem and set the piece in place to the right of the circle. And I added a little bit of glue to the bottom of the stem on the Basic Beige one and slipped it under the leaf of the Basic White piece.
The words are from the "Banner Sayings" and were cut using the "More Messages" die. Actually I didn't cut the words from it, I had cut a piece of Basic White from the die set. It cuts 18 shapes at one time. I set up the piece in my Stamparatus/MISTI and traced around it. Then I set the stamp inside that area. I stamped in the traced area to see if I got it straight. It's pretty easy to get the words straight when they are clear stamps. It looked straight enough to me so I took the traced piece and added a little bit of removable tape to the back and set it over the traced area. I stamped the words in black Memento ink. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.
I thought the glue on the flowers and corrugated piece was set enough so I added Dimensionals to the back of the piece and set it in place on the front of the card.
The word piece was added. And I thought I'd add some pearls to keep the eye moving across the card. And that was it, the card was done.
This was a pretty quick and easy card to make. I am thinking that maybe Smoky Slate might have been a better choice for the smaller leaves but I still like it the way it is.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in to see today's Birthday card,
Wanda
