The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It was cut on the short 8-1/2" side. After cutting it measured 4-1/4" x 11". This card opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top.
I cut a 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" piece of Pacific Point card stock. I chose that color by chance, it was just sitting on my worktable from some other project. It's great to use up scraps. I don't think I'll ever use up all of my scraps so I should have said, it's great to use some of my scraps!! LOL I added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.
The snowflake was die cut from the "Stitched Snowflakes" die set using Basic White card stock. Another scrap piece. I colored that piece using my Wink of Stella pen. I did avoid the very center of the snowflake. I wanted to make sure it would be clean and dry for the rhinestone. I added a small Dimensional to the snowflake and set it aside.
I set the Pacific Point square on top of the card front to see where I would be stamping the words. I set my words up in the Stamparatus because my ink pad is weird. It's a bit juicy on one side and a little dry on the other. So I just use the Stamparatus to make sure I get a nice dark solid image. I did have to stamp it twice.
Next the Pacific Point piece was set in place and then the snowflake on top. The rhinestone was added in the middle and this card was done!
Now can't you see yourself making a lot of these simple and quick cards for the holiday? And use up some of your fun colored in your scrap bin too!!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
