Handsomely Suited, Masculine Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I was looking for an easy card to make using the "Handsomely Suited" set. I wanted to find something that didn't require the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that was in the Spring Catalog because I was pretty sure it wouldn't be in the new 2021-2022 Catalog.  And I was thinking of making a Father's Day card. But I saw this card and had to make it. You can see the original card here.   I could easily turn this into a Father's Day card but when I started working on it, I wasn't thinking and ended up with a birthday card.  But I know if I need to, I can make another one and use Father's Day wording.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Gray card stock.  I die cut a circle from the center of it 2-11/16". I cut the DSP from the "Well Suited" 12" x 12" package at 3-7/8" x 2-3/4" on the striped piece and the same on the dotted piece.  Though the striped piece overlapped the dotted piece. I wanted to make sure there was no gap.

I wrapped a piece of black twine around the piece two times and taped the ends on the back.  Then I taped the piece to the front of the card.

I stamped the words from the "Handsomely Suited" set using Basic Gray ink. I die cut it using the second largest Stitched Circle die. I made sure the words were closer to the top so I had room for the bowtie.

The bowtie was stamped on a piece of Smoky Slate card stock using Basic Gray ink. The tie was then die cut.

I taped the two circles together and added Dimensionals to the back.

Then the tie was set on top of the circle using Dimensionals and the card was done.

This was a very quick and easy card to make. This is also a fun set to play with. There's some fun suits to make using it too. A long tie and suspenders too.  I need to spend some more time playing with this set.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this fun masculine card,
Wanda
