Hand-Penned Petals, Thank You Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found this pretty card on Pinterest.  It was fun to make but the next time I use it, I may just try coloring it in with Blends or markers instead. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card and I set it aside to set up/dry.

I took a 1/4 sheet of Basic White card stock and I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the "Stitched So Sweetly" die pack.

The flower was stamped next using the larger image from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set on Basic White card stock and black Memento ink.

The flower in the center was stamped with the new Pale Papaya ink. The medium flowers were stamped using the new Polished Pink ink and the smaller flowers were stamped using the new Fresh Freesia ink. And the leaves were stamped using the new Soft Succulent ink.  I couldn't afford to buy all the new ink pads so I bought a pack of empty cubes and the ink refills and inked those cubes and I was good to go.

I die cut the three different leaves from the bundle using Soft Succulent card stock.

The words are from the "Hand-Penned Petals" set and were stamped using black Memento ink.

Dimensionals were added to the back of the flower piece and before I pressed it in place, I slipped the leaves under, making sure they got under a Dimensional enough to stick.

Dimensionals were also added to the back of the rectangle piece and it was centered on the front of the card.

A "Genial Gems" was added to the front of the card next to the "T" and the card was finished.

I thought it was a very pretty card and like I said at the beginning, I think I will give coloring in the flowers with Blends or markers a try and see what I get. I do love these colors.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this pretty thank you card,
Wanda
