Butterfly Brilliance, Peaceful Moments, Birthday Card, 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

I am not crazy or forgetful.  I swore up and down that I wrote up that post and set it up in my blog but it was gone.  They mystery was solved. I got an email this morning stating that my blog post that I had to redo yesterday was removed because it violated blogger guidelines.  How odd is that? I post a card every day and one card. It's just card, nothing fancy. I got another email that read my post was reviewed and reinstated and I can access it now.  It's too late now, I rewrote the whole thing and posted it yesterday.  That's so odd.  Anyway, I will end up deleting the one they reinstated because I don't need to post it twice. UGH!!!  So let's see what happens with today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock.

Today's card is much like yesterday's card. I stamped the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance" set using black Memento ink on Basic White card stock.  These butterflies come on one large rubber stamp. It also comes a matching die that die cuts them all out at the same time too!  You can have a bunch of butterflies in no time.  So because it filled a whole big area, I was able to cut it in half and make two card!  The fun thing here is, if you color the butterflies in different colors you can use different colored card stock for the layers so they are the same but yet different.  My second card I used Mint Macaron for my layer. I liked this card better so this is the one I am posting.

So, after stamping the butterflies, I colored them in using both light and dark Blends pens. I used Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue, and Flirty Flaming. I used Flirty Flamingo twice, once on an upper butterfly and once on a lower one.

Once cut my stamped image piece measured 2-1/4" x 4-3/4" and I taped the two layers together.

I textured a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock using the "Ornate Floral" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card.

Then I glued the butterfly panel on top of the embossed piece.

The words are from the "Peaceful Moments" set using black Memento ink. I die cut them using the 1-5/8" circle die. And I also die cut a Daffodil Delight scalloped circle die just a bit larger than the word piece. I taped the two circles together and then set them in place on the card.

I had found some retired Daffodil Delight ribbon and set it in place on the circle using a glue dot.

This was a very fun and quick card to make and I love it that I can stamp once and end up with two cards.  How great is that?

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop by and see this fun butterfly card,
Wanda

  1. Wanda, I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to think you have posted your card, and then it doesn't show up. I saw another blogger who posted the same thing yesterday about her card not posting and then it shows up. Very strange. Your card is beautiful and it's great you can get two from the same stamping with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp. Enjoy your day!
