Christmas Magic, Snowman Christmas Card, Shaker Technique, Masculine Card

I thought this snowman from the "Christmas Magic" set would be great as a shaker card.  To find the instructions for the shaker card, click here.  You can make your opening round, oval, square, or any shape you can think of!  The new "Foam Adhesive Strips" are the best thing invented for making shaker cards super easy!!

First I stamped and colored the snowman.  I usually make their mittens red or green.  Today I used Marina Mist.  I thought I would step out of the box. I need to do that once in a while.

I followed the directions to make the shaker card.  For the inside of mine, I had some tiny 1/2mm no hole glass beads. They look like ice, more like sleet! LOL

I combined some fun papers from the "Warmth & Cheer" Decorative Series Paper Stack.  I LOVE those little 6" x 6" stacks. You get a lot of paper for your money!!!  It's about the equivalence of 14 sheets of 12" x 12" paper.  They are fun packs and I like to buy them when they come out.

Anyway, back to my card.  I set the top layer in place using Dimensionals.  You almost have to due to the layer of foam around the circle to hold the beads in.  You also need a piece of Window Sheet or acetate.

The "Merriest Wishes" came from the same set.  I thought they would look good at the bottom part of the card. I was going to add a ribbon there but I thought words would be better.  I set them in place using Dimensionals.

The base of my card is Crumb Cake.  I also used Whisper White and Garden Green card stock on here.  I do like how this card turned out and I especially like the two decorative papers together.  It's kind of like mixing stripes with plaids, it's not suppose to work, but these two patterns worked well together!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
