A Fabulous Florets Thank You

I needed to make two thank you cards for my sister-in-laws (twins) so I make them both the same cards.  This was was fun and easy. I first created the background piece by stamping the yellow (Daffodil Delight) flower all over a 1/4 sheet of card stock.  Then I stamped the outlined flower using black StazOn.  I cut the piece at 2-1/2" x 4".  You should be able to get two pieces out of that for two cards.  This technique is called a "One Sheet Wonder".  It's were you stamp all over (usually a full sheet of card stock) and cut pieces off it using it on your cards.  It's a wonder how many cards you can make using that single sheet!

I punched out the black strip using the Ribbon punch. A punch I like to use but don't very often.  Don't ask why, I haven't a clue.

Then I stamped the greens of the flower on a 1/4 sheet of card stock.  I turned the card stock 180 degrees and stamped the image again.  I cut that piece 4-1/2" x 2" and the layer behind it is cut 1/8" larger.

The scallop was punched and a Daffodil Delight circle was punched.  The words were done on my computer.  The words and the flower in the center that is cut out were set in place using Dimensionals.  The card had to have some depth to it.  The light was a bit bright on my card, the flower doesn't really glow!

These were quick, easy and fun cards to make!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
