Wednesday Sketch Challenge Haunted Hill

This is the card I made for the Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at SplitCoastStampers. Once again I was thrilled that I was able to have a little time to play. And sorry to say I am not thrilled with this card. It did not turn out on paper like I "saw" it in my head!! That happens to me a lot more than I care to mention! Most of the time it turns out in my favor but this time..... ick!! It's not on my favorites list!!!

I used a couple of wheels to make this card. The focal piece was done using the Stampin' Up! "Haunted Hill" jumbo wheel and the spider webs are done using the "Web" wheel. The little bats on the Pumpkin Pie card stock were done using the "Halloween Backgrounds" stamps.

The cute little ghosts came from an old punch I had.

I wheeled the image on using black StazOn. I colored in some of the areas with markers and sponged in the sky and grass. Sponging on glossy card stock is such and easy way to color. The glossy card stock is very fun to work with too!! The colors come out more vivid and sharp on it.

Maybe later in the week I'll try to make another card using this fun layout but not today. I have WAY too many things to do before I can play with stamps!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today, Wanda

  1. Love the coloring, wish I loved and used the wheels like you do I just don't have this type of luck with them.

    Great card!
