I saw this card by ncmorgan on SplitCoastStampers and I just HAD to copy it. Mine is not exactly like the one there but it's close enough. I just thought this whale was SO cute and the waves were what really caught my eye!
I didn't have the same decorative paper so I used the light blue from the Stampin' Up! "Picnic" package. For card stock I used Ballet Blue for the main card and accents, Bordering Blue (which when mixed with these blues looks gray) and the whale was done on watercolor paper.
The waves were made using the slit punch. The rounded part that was on the other end of the wave piece I kept for use for a different card for some other time.
I also changed the word part. I didn't have the set that was used in the original one so I printed out the "Happy Birthday" on the computer and punched it out. I layered it on top of a Ballet Blue circle and a Bordering Blue Scallop. It was a very fun card to make. And I think it is SO adorable!!! Now and then it's fun to copy and share someone elses work! I'm kind of possessive when it comes to a card I REALLY like that someone else has made. I just HAVE to have it! I suppose I could email them and ask them to send me the card. SO rude!!! LOL SO the next best thing is to just make it myself. And of course give credit where credit is due. Be sure to check out ncmorgan's card and if you have time look at her gallery too!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by,
Wanda
