I'm not sure if it works better because it's the exact thickness you need but I always use it with the Framelits. I set clear plate on top of the platform. My plates are extremely well used so you don't need to make sure you have a pristine plate. I set my card stock on top of the plate. I have the large butterfly, and the paper stick to the die.<br /><br />My SU dealer uses a sandwich of waxed paper and plain handy wipes. The wipes leave fibers behind... not fun to remove from the butterfly. There are no layers on the butterfly. It may be the shadow of the light that appears to be looking like another layer. I have tried several and still have "stuff" clinging to the underside of the butterfly.
