Beautiful Friendship, Birthday Card, 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I found this beauty on Pinterest.  I had just gotten the "Beautiful Friendship" set and was looking for some inspiration.  I've been a bit uncreative lately and I have mostly been finding pretties and making them.  You can see the original card here.  I did make some little changes.

The base of the cards is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Old Olive card stock.  And the focal Whisper White piece is cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".

I got my Stamparatus out and lined up my card stock at the bottom, making sure the left side and the bottom of the card stock were touching. That way if the card stock moves I know exactly where to place it to re-stamp.

I set the large flower image towards the right side of the card, just about 1/4" up from the bottom.  I stamped the image using Daffodil Delight ink.  Then I turned the card stock 180 degrees and stamped the image again.

Next I set up the two rose buds image on the Stamparatus and I stamped them using Pool Party ink. And again I turned the card stock 180 degrees and stamped the other side.

There's two leaf stamps in the set, so I thought I would use them both.  I set them up on the Stamparatus and then inked them up using Old Olive.  I turned the card stock 180 degrees and stamped again.

I cut a 3/4" x 5-1/8" piece of Old Olive for the strip. The original card used Daffodil Delight but I thought there was too much yellow on the card.  Pool Party may have worked but since Old Olive was used in the layer, I thought it would fit better.  And maybe only cut the strip 1/2" or 5/8" instead of 3/4".  Something to play around with some other day.  I taped that strip in place.

I took a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the smaller single rose image using Daffodil Delight ink stamped off once.  Then I stamped the words from the same set using Old Olive.  Then I die cut them using the 5th largest die in the "Stitched Nested Labels" dies.

I set down a little bit of Tear and Tape where the word piece was to go and added some gold thread.  Then I set the word piece in place.  And that was it.

I thought it was an easy card to make and it's SO pretty.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
