Waterfront, Beautiful Bouquet, Masculine Birthday Card

I'm not a big fan of watercolor stamping but every now and then one needs to step outside their box.  I much prefer to stay inside my box!!! LOL

I took a piece of watercolor paper and misted it. You can run it under the faucet and shake it off.  You want the water to absorb into the paper and not puddle on top.  I set it aside while I got the "Waterfront" stamp set out and my ink pads, Pool Party, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate.

I inked up the mountain with Smoky Slate and I misted it once about 6" away from the image. I stamped it on my watercolor paper.  I misted every image that I stamped on the watercolor paper. Next I stamped Old Olive on the double lined looking image.  Then I stamped the water part using Pool Party.  I used Daffodil Delight to stamp the round image for the sun. And I had stamped the trees last. I did put a post it note along the "shoreline" because I didn't want all the trunks showing.

I die cut the image with the largest stitched oval.  I used the embossing tool to dry the image. I did leave the image in the Stitched Oval die. I turned it over a few times while I was drying it.

I die cut a Soft Suede scalloped circle for the layer.

I took the dotted image and stamped Pool Party ink on the Pool Party card stock and cut the pieces 1-1/8" x 1-1/8".  I cut the layers of Soft Suede 1-1/4" x 1-1/4".  You need three of each of these.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of white card stock. On top of that is a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Pool Party card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of white card stock.

I taped the squares in place. I set the oval on top using Dimensionals and I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set using Mossy Meadow ink.  And that was it.  It was okay to do but like I said, I'm not a big fan of watercolor stamping. I like my images crisp and clean looking!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
