Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Wood Textures Decorative Series Paper, Masculine Birthday Card

I thought it was time for a masculine card. I don't make them very often and I should make them more often.  I found this fun card on Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to try.  There are no instructions for measurements and I'm pretty sure I cut the pieces too small but the card turned out fine so I'm not going to complain. But if you want to make it more like the original card, try adding 1/8" to two sides of the rectangle pieces.

So my version of this card is as follows.  The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Early Expresso card stock.  This card opens on the fright side.

On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sahara Sand card stock.

I cut the wood pieces from the "Wood Textures" Decorative Series Paper (DSP).  They measured 2" x 1-3/8".  The Early Espresso Layers behind them were cut 2-1/4" x 1-5/8".

The word square was cut 2" x 2" and the Early Espresso layer was cut 2-1/4" x 2-1/4".  The words are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I set that piece in place using Dimensionals.  All of the other pieces were taped in place.

This was a fun card to make and very masculine!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
