Swirly Bird, Guy Greetings, Father's Day Card

Oh my gosh!  I saw this card on Pinterest and I just had to make one.  I LOVE the "Swirly Bird" set (which is NOT retiring)!  I had the Mint Macaron ink and card stock because I never got around to getting rid of it when it retired.  SO happy I was lazy!!! LOL  But had I not had the Mint Macaron, I would have used Pool Party, I think it would have looked just fine. And now that I think of it, maybe the original card was done in Pool Party!! LOL  Doesn't matter, it looks good either way.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mint Macaron card stock.  On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I die cut the waves using the framelits that were bundled with the "Swirly Bird" set.  I used the sticky sheets so once they were cut they were now stickers!  Ya gotta love that!!!  I hate gluing things like that and taping is nearly impossible.  I set the waves in place but didn't affix them.  I needed to see where the boat went.  I don't think I've ever used the boat from this set.  I stamped the bottom of the boat using Crumb Cake ink. The right sail was stamped using Night of Navy and the left with Mint Macaron.

The words are from the "Guy Greetings" set and were stamped using Night of Navy ink. I changed the wording on the card because I thought this would make a wonderful Father's Day card! And that was it. It was a super easy and quick card to make.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
