Rose Wonder, Whole lot of Lovely, Thank You Card

Of all the papers in the "Whole lot of Lovely" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) pack, this is my favorite!

I was in need of a couple of thank you cards and a get well card so I thought I would make all three the same.  I still have not found get well words that I want to use, though I have not looked hard for them. I needed the thank you cards first.  Anyway, this was a fun card and that beautiful DSP in the background really makes the card.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party cardstock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz.  And the DSP was cut 3-3/4" x 5".

I taped the Pear Pizzazz piece onto the front of the Pool Party cardstock.
I took the DSP piece and added half of a doily to it.  It's slightly to the left, it's not centered.  You can pretty much set it anywhere you want and it will look nice.  I taped the center part and added a little tape to the bottom center just to keep it in place.  Then I added the ribbon.  I didn't have any current black ribbon so I used what I had.  This is the backside of some dotted scalloped ribbon.  I think the new black shimmer ribbon would be VERY pretty on here.  I hope I ordered some.

Next I die cut 3 flowers from the "Rose Wonder" set using Pool Party cardstock.  I colored the flowers with Wink of Stella and then I sponged the edges with Pool Party ink.  I used a couple of Sharpie markers and colored in the White Enamel Dots so the flowers would have an orangish color. Once the ribbon was added, I taped the DSP to the Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

I die cut the leaf from the "Rose Wonder" set and only used pieces that popped out.  They were the perfect size leaf for these flowers. I can save the die cut leaf for another project.  I set these flowers in place using glue dots.  I did use glue for the leaves.

I stamped the "Thank You" from the "Rose Wonder" set and used the "Stitched Oval" die to cut it out. I used a scalloped oval for the back layer, it was die cut using Pool Party cardstock.

I REALLY like how this card turned out.  I may have to keep the one waiting for the "get well" words and come up with another card.  I think I want to just keep one as a sample.  Though it is on my blog and the description of how to make it is pretty clear.  But it's that having it in person to look at while reproducing it.  Such a dilemma!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

I love this, it is very eye catching. The reason I like it is that it is different, TFS.
