Flourishing Phrases, June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Alternate Card, Stampin' Up!

Today I thought I would play with my June "Paper Pumpkin" kit.  I had been too busy getting ready for the Extravaganza that I had to set it aside.  It was an interesting kit but I had other plans for it.  I didn't need any invitation size cards or any little watermelon gift bags.  So I took the gift bag and cut it to 4" x 5-1/4".  You can get two of those size pieces out of one bag, though one will have some score lines on it.  If you plan it just right you can cover most of it with the yellow ribbon punched out piece that came with the kit.

I took the round circle that came with the kit and I stamped the watermelon images on the bottom part of it.  I didn't want to use the wording that came with the kit so I took out the "Flourishing Phrases" set and used the word "hello".  I stamped it using Emerald Envy and the top part of the watermelon was stamped using Melon Mambo.  I set the round piece in place using Dimensionals.  I stuck one over the prepunched hole on the circle.  I also tied a bow and used a glue dot to hold it in place over that hole.  I did not remove the punched out piece for that hole, I left it where it was so it wouldn't be so obvious.  The bow is a piece of Melon Mambo "Baker's Twine" that came with the kit. And to finish off the card I added 3 of the melon colored "Glitter Enamel Dots".

What a great summer friendship card!

I made a couple of these cards.  I think it's time to mail one out, it's been a while since I've done that. Just leave a comment in the comment section. You don't have to say anything, I'm not fishing for compliments, you can just type "Pick me" and hit the "publish" icon and your name will be added to the drawing.  Sorry, but I have to limit it to USA residents only.  Postage is too expensive outside the US.  I will draw a name on Friday June 30th.  WOW, did June fly by or what?????

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

I love visiting your blog every day. this is a super cute use for the pp kit. when I saw the other bloggers show the tissue paper I was like "that is so cool" even if I don't comment often, I look forward to your posts daily. then I wonder to myself, why I don't post or at least make a card or more a day. cold feet is why I don't have a blog. can't explain the other one. have a great 4th.
