Daisy Delight, Birthday Card, Accordion Fold Technique, 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I'm looking at my past posts trying to find the card I made for Terri's Tuesday Technique Night but I couldn't find it. So that means I need to tell you how to do this "Accordion Fold" technique.  It's a fun fold to do and there's SO many sides to decorate or to leave as is.  This card was made by Tanya.

To make this card you will need a piece of cardstock cut 8-1/2" x 11".  (Edited on 7-6-17, it should read 5-1/2" x 11") Score the long side at 1-1/4", 4", and 6-3/4". Fold the smallest piece valley, the next score mark mountain and the last score mark valley.  And that's it.  Just decorate as desired.

Tanya used the "Daisy Delight" bundle to make this card. In the bundle you get the stamp set and dies. The decorative paper and Faceted Gems" are purchased separate but they are a must have!!

Since I didn't post my swap I will have to share it with you tomorrow.  I really thought I did.  I try to wait until Technique Night to post it but I totally forgot.  Forgetting has been kind of a trend with me lately!  UGH!!

Anyway, it's a simple and very fun fold.  A vertical greeting would be something fun to add to that small front flap.  I look at this layout with SO many other possibilities in mind.  Play with it and see what you can come up with.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Hi Wanda, Do you put a white piece for the greeting on the back of the panel that has the daisy attached? Or do you stamp/write on the final panel?

Personally, I would add a white piece to the back of the flower panel for my wording. You could write on the final panel if the decorative paper wasn't too busy.

Just to be certain...this card is 8 1/2 " tall?

Sorry, there is an error in the measurements. It should be 5-1/2" not 8-1/2". I will change that in the post. Thank you for catching that.
