I'm having trouble putting this card into a category. "You're a good egg!" could mean thank you. It probably does mean thank you and for my post, it means thank you!!! LOL
I found this card while surfing the net. I thought it was cute and I had just gotten the set. So, when I ran across this one, I just had to make it. It did involve using watercolor paper (which I LOVE to use but rarely do) and the aqua painter (give me a regular paint brush any day, I like to control the amount of water on my brush), but I managed to color it in.
I did use the watercolor pencils for this card, plus a couple of markers. I used the markers on the chicks feet and the rooster's head area. The rest was blending some brown with yellow for the shadow and using some gray and black with a touch of brown for the chicken. The egg was mostly gray with a touch of black blended in. I forgot to add the light blue around both before I put the card together. I think I may add it later or I may just leave it as it is. You can see the original card here.
I didn't have the ribbons that were used, so I went in my drawer that is full of ribbons, plus a wall that has a ton of them on it too, and I found one I liked. I don't have any current ribbons, so I have to use what I have. Most of you will use what you have on hand, unless you're entering it in something that requires you to use current supplies. Here I'm not entering it in anything, so I'm going to use what I have on hand.
It was very fun to make. I think the chickens in this set are adorable.
Thank you for visiting today,
