Spice Cake Birthday Card

I'm a little late in posting tonight.  I totally forgot to write up my card.  I thought I did it but when I went to see if it posted it wasn't there.  UGH!!!

My card for today was done using Pool Party as the base.  The decorative paper is from the Spice Cake pack.  Yes, I do have a few pieces of it left!!

The later under the decorative paper is Chocolate Chip.  And the top layer is Very Vanilla where I stamped the words from the On Your Birthday set.  That set is retiring and I'm going to miss it very much.  Though I am thinking of keeping it.  You can never have enough word stamp sets.  I like to have a variety of them and I do like to keep my favorites.

The flower was made using the blossom punch.  I punched out two flowers and clipped the petals.  I curled them, using my bone folder, like you would curling ribbon.  I punched out a 1" circle of Chocolate Chip card stock and a 3/5" circle of the decorative paper for the center of the flower.

I set the word panel on using Dimensionals and the flower was just taped in place on the side of the word panel.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I punched the edge of the Chocolate Chip card stock before I added the decorative paper.

This was a fun card to make and it really didn't take much time at all.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
