Circle Circus Note Pad Holder Weekend Project

Today I made another note holder.  You can click here to see more details on a different one I made.  I had gotten these fun note paper holders at Target in their Dollar Spot.  I LOVE doing altered notebooks and note holders.

To make these I take the whole thing apart.  I open them up, take off the tray and I usually use the paper that is included inside.  It's not the best paper but it's good enough for the little notes I write all the time.  I replace them with white copier paper notes that I cut to fit the holder.

For this holder I had taken white 30# copier paper and covered the outside of the holder.  The tray part that the paper goes in was already white so I didn't need to do anything with that.  I glued the paper to the holder and wrapped the edges over and glued them on the inside.

On the front I used the Circle Circus set.  I had gotten this set because it looked like it would be a lot of fun but I have not used it much.  SO I thought I would play with it for the front of this note holder.  I got some fun bright colors out and just randomly stamped them on my card stock.

Next I cut a piece of Pacific Point to fit the front cover.  From there I cut a piece of the Circle Circus stamped piece to fit on top of the Pacific Point.  I taped both of the layers together and then I taped them in place on top of the holder.

I stamped a red image from the set and cut it out by hand.  I punched the scallop circle and taped the red piece on top.  I also punched out a little yellow flower shaped piece for the center.  I taped that in place and then cut the belly band.  I cut the strip 11" x 1" and wrapped it around the holder and glued it in place.  I centered the scalloped piece over the seams of the band.

The part that I thought was a lot of fun was how I glued the tray back in place on the cover and slid the band on the note holder.  I set a heavy object on the holder and left it to dry.  When I came back everything was all set!  I LOVE it when I don't have to wait around for stuff to dry!!!

I find these very fun to make and love it when I can find fun ways to decorate them.  I'll be adding this to the box of stuff I'm going to be selling at the fall craft fair!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
