On Your Birthday Birthday Card

I'm sure you are looking at this card and wondering why I would put the little library clip on the side of the card.  Well, that little library clip is not part of the card.  It's there to hold the card shut so I could take a photo of it.  This card was fun to make.  I tried a CASE from another card with this layout.  That card had words and I believe it had some type of butterfly too.  I have forgotten what the original one looked like.

On mine I used the "Elegant Soiree" decorative paper.  Mine is from the download.  I printed it out on 30# copier paper and cut it to fit my card.

I thought it was fun that I actually got to use one of those "Vintage Flower Adornments" from the Occasions Mini Catalog.   I have had them sitting on the counter for a while now but have not played with them.  It did fit so well with this card.

And I LOVE that butterfly.  It is from the "Nature Walk" set.  That is not a download, it is the actual stamp!

I am thinking about giving this to my sister for her birthday.  Yup, both of my sisters have March birthdays.  One is on the 1st and the other is on the 23rd.  There are 4 family birthdays this month.  A busy month for card making!  And on that note I'm off to make the next card, this birthday is on St. Patrick's Day! So you can guess, it's going to be a green card!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Very pretty birthday card. I love the way you made your fold - am making a simuliar card right now with the card going in the other direction - like opening a book. I enjoy making different folds now and then. Thanks so much for all of your ideas.
