Every Little Bit Baby Card

No, I didn't need another baby card.  Well, not for me anyway.  My mom needed a baby card so I came up with this one.  As I was looking through my stamps I ran across the "Every Little Bit" set.  It's got 28 VERY fun images in it to play with.  It covers every holiday and event except for wedding.  Though I think you could work the wrapped gift box into a wedding card or maybe the heart.  Anyway, it's a fun set and this little teddy bear caught my eye.  I hope my mom likes the card!

The base of my card is a half sheet of Bashful Blue card sock folded in half.  The next layer is from the "Subtles Collection" paper pack.  A wonderful pack of papers that I LOVE playing with and have all the color groups of!

After I taped the decorative paper on I tied a 5/8" gross grain ribbon on.  It was colored using the Bashful Blue inker.  I was in need of a Bashful Blue bow on another card and I had dyed a bit of extra ribbon.  SO glad I did!  If you are going to make this card, dye your ribbon first and give it some time to dry. And personally I think a white ribbon would look so pretty on there too.

The bear was punched out using a 1-1/4" circle punch.  The Bashful Blue layer was punched out using the 1-3/8" circle punch and the scallop was done using a piece of Whisper White card stock.

This is a very quick and simple card to make.  I had wrapped the ribbon around the card and taped it on the front.  I tied the ribbon and used a glue dot to set it in place a little past the seam where the ribbon ends meet.  I didn't want that seam to show that is why I moved the bow over a bit.

That is all there is to this card!! Easy peasy!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

What a cute little Baby card. I wish I knew someone that would be needing one of these. Maybe I'll just use your inspiration and have one ready just in case.
