Note Cards and Holder - Stamp Camp Project

Here is another fun project we did at Terri's FABULOUS Stamp Camp. She is SO talented! I have always wanted to make one of these but never got around to it. Tonight I had sometime to play with this project. I still have a few more in my bag from Stamp Camp. I am slowly getting them done. It was difficult to choose which project I wanted to work on. I figured I did need to write up some thank you cards so I went with this project.

This project is one that you will NOT want to keep for yourself. As much as I need to send out thank you cards I just don't want to take them from this cute set! And you see, this is how I end up with a room full of projects!!! LOL

As with the Heart Box I made a few days ago, I can not share with you the dimensions. This is not my pattern to give out. But I can share with you what it took to make it. The base of the box is made using Real Red card stock. The decorative paper is from the "Sending Love" pack. There are 4 note cards with envelopes. On top of the note box is a piece of the Real Red satin ribbon. I am SO loving that ribbon! The new Large Flower punch was used to make those adorable flowers on the box and cards. We crumpled the card stock and then attached it to the box and cards. The center of the flowers is just a piece of the decorative paper punched out and set in place on the flower using a Dimensional. The card also has a Scalloped Trim punch border. The box has the same border. I put my box together and had to remove that top part so I could do the border punch. I was so thrilled at getting the cute box together that I didn't pay attention. And finally the words on my cards are from the Stampin' Up! "Whimsical Words" set. I just LOVE the font on this set. Too sweet, isn't it?

This box and cards went together very quickly. Ok, I do have to confess here. All of the card stock and decorative paper was cut and scored for us so of course it would go quickly. But if I had to do it all myself it would be less than 10 minutes to cut and score it all. Probably closer to 5 minutes. I am going to have to make more of these for gifts. And of course I'm going to have to make more of these cards. I need thank you cards but I'm NOT using them from this adorable project!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
