Monogram Birthday

I ran across this monogram Birthday card I had made for a swap. It was such a nice day here (40 degrees above zero!!!) and this card reminded me of spring with the green and purples.

It's a fairly simple card to make. Mostly layering. The flowers are from the Stampin' Up! punch, one is in Lavender Lace card stock and one is Whisper White and sponged with Lavender Lace. Punch your holes first and then line up the hole to the center of the back of the punch and punch it out! Perfectly centered holes every time!

I used the Mat Pack to line up the holes on the black piece to keep the brads straight. Such wonderful little inventions out there!! I used the Canvas Background stamp on the top large layer. A bright and cheery card. This would be great as a gift set for someone! Instead of doing the "B" for Birthday you could do "F" for friend our just use their initial and cut the white card stock and center their monogram! Make sure you stamp on the envelope. A friend of mine (we won't mention any names ok Ann?) stamps an envelope for every card she makes. It's all about the presentation!

I love the clean look of this card. Simplicity is my favorite style. But that doesn't mean boring and this card in NOT boring. Very pretty.
